Lisa Jamison has been working with Langston School since ShareFest 2010. Perhaps your school aged child would be willing to donate their used backpack to a homeless child at Langston School.  The weekend backpack food program is blessing these kids, and we have secured funds for food through the end of the school year.  However, to protect the children's dignity and to assure the food makes it home with them, it needs to be concealed, and a plastic sack is not appropriate. So if a new backpack is part of every school year for your child, please consider leaving the old backpack at the information desk and let your child be a part of blessing Langston's homeless children. Taylor and Natalie Manatt have volunteered to be the Lake Valley liaisons for the "Starting Over" ministry.  Starting Over helps with home furnishings for children in Garland County who are living in less than desirable conditions.  Contact Taylor and Natalie at 767-2216 if you would like to donate any of these items.*  They will pick them up from you, and you will receive a charitable donation receipt. Furnishing needs this week are: twin and full mattresses, twin sheets, and dressers. Thanks so much.

Habitat for Humanity

Garland County Habitat for Humanity is in need of property/properties on which to build new homes. Ideally they would like donated property, which is tax deductible, but they will also consider purchasing property. Habitat builds homes for people who would otherwise not be able to own a home and they do so as a Christian organization giving God the praise. Help Wanted

TWO YOUTH ONE BOAT   4 1/2 HOURS   $120.

Need 2 youth, age 14-18, to help wax my 18 ft ski boat.  May be boys, girls or boy and girl.  $120. to be shared for 4 1/2 hours of work.  Boat is in a covered dock so the work will be in the shade.   A Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon, whatever. Transportation provided, if desired.
