Operations Leader

We really are family! Bruce and Dru are brothers, Bruce noting that he is the younger! He and his wife, Georgia were also a part of the original start up in 1993. Bruce and Georgia’s family consists of their two sons; Aaron, Andrew and wife, Helen; and Emma, their Weimaraner. Bruce works part time for Lake Valley. The other half of his working time he spends off campus as a license professional counselor. If not at work or home, he may be visiting one of his sons, fishing or hunting, boating in Lake Ouachita, or playing guitar.  He also loves getting together with Dru and Jo, and their family, as well as, with friends. Bruce is “in the know” if it is happening at Lake Valley.

Why do you do what you do? First, I love and believe in the mission of God’s church and am committed to seeing it advance. Secondly, I really enjoy making sure we do a good job at doing what we say we are going to do. I love getting things done!

Starbucks Order? Coffee of the day, Black, anywhere. I don’t really drink starbucks.

What books are you reading? Hinges of History, series by Thomas Cahill; “The Desire of Everything Hills: the world before and after Jesus” and just finished “The Gift of the Jews,” “He Loves Me,” by Rob Bell. “The Awakened Heart” Gerald May

What’s on you iPod? mostly 70’s and 80’s music and a little Bluegrass. I love pandora.

Favorite Restaurant? McClards, it’s nostalgic and the food is always good. But I end up at Don Jauns an awful lot!
